Better to do push ups fast or slow?
I’ve been doing push ups fast for a while and do 3 sets of 45, rest and then do 3 more sets of 45. However, I figured my form wasn’t as good as it should be though so today I slowed it down a lot, figuring it would help my form which it seemed to. However, I could only do like 30, 35 at best. Should I switch over to doing it slow to build more muscle or what? Or is fast just as effective to do them fast and my body simply wasn’t used to doing slow pushups? I’d much rather do less pushups with good technique. Any suggestions on how to improve technique besides doing them slower?
I forgot to mention that if what’s important is that I’m doing them then I’d rather do them fast so I can do more. If technique is really key though, I’d rather do them slow if that’ll improve it.
